Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and applying restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles attacked energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
